SHORT BIO:

An emerging voice of her generation, Violetta Todorova has performed as a soloist with orchestras and ensembles throughout the US, Russia, Finland, and Sweden. She holds prizes from several violin competitions, including the International Competition for Young Violinists in Estonia and the All-Russian Competition for Young Violinists in Nizhny-Novgorod, Russia. In the spring of 2016, Ms. Todorova was named the Concertmaster of Fort Wayne Philharmonic in Fort Wayne, IN. She has also held the Concertmaster position with the Illinois Symphony, has been an Assistant Concertmaster with the Northwest Indiana Symphony, and a part of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Todorova received the 2019 Arts United EMERGING ARTIST Award.

Originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia, Violetta Todorova started playing violin at the age of five. By the time she was eleven, Todorova had performed in most major concert halls of St. Petersburg, including an engagement as soloist performing Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons at the S.K.K Arena. When she was twelve, Ms. Todorova was invited to the prestigious Interlochen Summer Arts Festival in Michigan, attending for six summers on full scholarship where she won the concerto competition in both the Intermediate and High School divisions. During those summers, she was also the concertmaster of the Intermediate Symphony Orchestra and the World Youth Symphony Orchestra.
